Warrnambool Cheese & Butter profit grows

Company News

Warrnambool Cheese & Butter Factory (ASX:WCB) has grown its profit and earnings over the first nine months of the 2015 financial year.

The dairy producer’s net operating profit after tax has increased to $34.3 million, up 61 per cent from the last 2014 financial year.

The company says this is a good result in a reduced reporting period and a period of declines in global international commodity prices.

Now under Saputo majority ownership and control the company has advised it continues to focus on integrating with the group, including the alignment of its financial year reporting with Saputo.

Warrnambool Cheese & Butter Factory reported a net profit of $25.04 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
