Brambles Limited
(ASX:BXB) has expanded into Chile with the purchase of the nation’s leading provider of reusable plastic crate pooling services.
The supply chain logistics company has bought privately owned Renta Pack for an enterprise value of $US63 million, or $AUD79.5 million.
CEO Tom Gorman says Renta Pack has a leading market position, strong financial returns and a promising growth outlook.
Renta Pack is anticipating strong growth over coming years as it increases penetration with major retail partners and launches its products in sectors such as bakery.
Brambles reported a net profit of $347.84 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
