Westfarmers Limited
(ASX:WES) says that current Chairman Dr Bob Every will be replaced by Michael Chaney at the next AGM.
Mr Chaney was previously Managing Director of Wesfarmers rom 1992 until 2005. He is currently Chairman of both Woodside and National Australia Bank but will resign from NAB at their AGM later this year.
Outgoing chairman Dr Every said he was delighted that a person who played such a vital role in establishing the Wesfarmers culture was replacing him.
Dr Every will continue as Chairman until the AGM in November.
Wesfarmers reported a net profit of $1.4 billion dollars for the first six months of the 2015 financial year.
