Company News

Downer EDI Limited (ASX:DOW) has won a $180 million new program alliance with Logan City Council, south of Brisbane in Queensland.

The engineering company will deliver water and wastewater infrastructure services from July for a three year period, with two one year extension options.

Downer says it has worked closely with Logan City Council to improve the capacity and efficiency of Logan’s water and wastewater networks and deliver smarter solutions for ratepayers.

The new alliance contract follows the completion of a public private sector program alliance involving Downer, Logan City Council, Cardno Limited (ASX:CDD) and Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Downer EDI reported a net profit of $94.7 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
