Australia’s biggest telecommunication company Telstra Corporation Limited
(ASX:TLS) has expanded its network reach across the Middle East.
Telstra has launched a new point of presence in datamena, an open and neutral data centre and connectivity platform in the United Arab Emirates.
The company has also launched of a new point of presence in partnership with Etisalat, a United Arab Emirates based telecommunications services provider.
Telstra says the new Point of Presence in Etisalat’s UAE Smarthub facility will enable Telstra customers to benefit from reduced latency and increased network availability across the Middle East.
Telstra reported a record net profit of $2.1 billion in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
