Real Energy Corporation Limited
(ASX:RLE) has confirmed its Queenscliff-1 well as a gas discovery, with gas flowing to surface without fracture stimulation.
The oil and gas explorer has described the discovery as important for the company and the development of gas on the Queensland side of the Cooper Basin.
Managing Director Scott Brown says the company will now undertake further testing on its two maiden Cooper Basin wells, Queenscliff-1 and Tamarama-1.
Mr Brown believes Real Energy is now in a strong position to independently certify gas resources that will have a significant material impact and drive shareholder value.
