Ardent Leisure Group
(ASX:AAD) has appointed the former editor of The Australian Women's Weekly, Deborah Thomas, as its new CEO.
Current chief Greg Shaw will step down at the end of the financial year after almost 13 years holding the top job at the leisure and entertainment business.
Ardent Leisure advises Ms Thomas will start in an executive capacity in April in order to work with Mr Shaw and create a smooth leadership transition.
Ms Thomas says she plans to build on the company’s platform of assets and management team and focus on marketing, customer service and product innovation.
Ardent Leisure Group reported a net profit of $18.82 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year.
