Sydney Airport inks deal with APN Outdoor

Sydney Airport Limited (ASX:SYD) has strengthened its relationship with APN Outdoor Group Limited (ASX:APO) through inking a 5.5 year agreement to transform airport advertising.

The owner of Sydney Airport says the new deal is for advertising rights at the T1 international terminal, T2 domestic terminal and airport exterior signage.

While the financial details of the arrangement have not been disclosed it is understood to be one of the most valuable out of home advertising contracts in Australia and New Zealand. 

Both companies plan to consolidate the airport advertising portfolio by investing in signage and digitising existing media at new and refurbished sites across both terminal precincts.

Sydney Airport reported a net profit of $57.2 million over the full 2014 financial and calendar years.
