Myer Holdings Limited
(ASX:MYR) has announced CEO Bernie Brookes is stepping down to be replaced by Richard Umbers effective immediately.
There will be a two month transition period to allow Mr Brookes to support Mr Umber’s shift from his current position as Chief Information and Supply Chain Officer to the top job.
The company is planning on a new program of significant change to reinvigorate the retailer and allow it to adapt faster to changes in the retail market. Mr Umber will head up the reshaping which is expected to take a number of years.
In other movements at Myer, CFO Mark Ashby has resigned to take up a position overseas while current Chief Merchandise and Marketing Officer Daniel Bracken will add Deputy CEO to his title.
Myer Holdings reported a net profit of $98.5 million for the full year ended 26th July 2014.
