Donaco International Limited (ASX:DNA) has reported a 1 per cent dip in first half profit after tax following a 24 per cent jump in operating revenue. 
 
The company has switched to normalised results for its casino operations to limit volatility in the performance of its VIP table games business. 
The normalised results show revenue growth of 55 per cent and EBITA growth of 52 per cent. 
 
The opening of Donaco’s flagship property, a five star casino in Vietnam, was hit by several major headwinds including geo-political tensions with China, fallout from the Soccer World Cup and a severe earthquake however turnover grew with gross revenue from slot machines up over 600 per cent. 
 
The casino operator also offloaded its Gaming Technology businesses and agreed to acquire another gaming resort on the Cambodian-Thai border.
