Beach Energy Limited
(ASX:BPT) has posted an interim net loss following steep falls in the oil price.
The oil and gas producer booked a net loss of $79.1 million in the first half of the 2015 financial year, swinging from a profit of $160 million the year before.
Revenue fell 23 per cent to $431 million mainly due to lower oil and other liquids prices and lower crude sales volumes.
Last month Beach Energy flagged plans to cut capital expenditure by up to 20 per cent in the second half but slightly lifted its annual production forecast.
An interim fully franked dividend of 1 cent per share has been declared.
