Company News

An alliance including Seymour Whyte Limited (ASX:SWL) has won an $87 million contract for Sydney’s Green Square Trunk Stormwater Project, which is slated for completion late 2016.

The engineering and construction group says it will take a 30 per cent share of total project value within the alliance which includes five other groups.

The Green Square project will soon start construction of a 2.4 kilometre stormwater drain to address flooding issues and enable future development.

Last month Seymour Whyte said it is in a strong position for the rest of the financial year and beyond with its forward order book having risen to $450 million at the beginning of January.

Seymour Whyte reported a net profit of $10.68 million in the 2014 financial year.
