Yowie Group Limited
(ASX:YOW) has welcomed news its lead product will be rolled out across America’s largest grocery retailer, Walmart Stores Inc. (NYSE:WMT).
The Perth based brand licensing company says the Yowie confectionary product will launch nationally into 1,507 Walmart stores from next month.
Yowie says distribution has already started into Walmart stores with 4,000 cases of the product in the process of dispatch.
The news follows a successful trial which began in Texas in October last year and as part of Yowie’s strategy of expanding into the US.
Yowie Group reported a net loss of $6.4 million in the full 2014 financial year.
