(ASX:QAN) has launched a new three-month trial entertainment service with Samsung Electronics Australia with view to enhancing long-haul flights.
Australia’s biggest airline says the Samsung virtual reality (VR) technology will offer customers a three dimensional experience in a 360 degree style interactive format.
At the click of a button select travellers will be able to access and preview a virtual world of network destinations, new Qantas products and inflight movies.
Trial headsets will be made available to customers in Sydney and Melbourne International First Lounges and the First Class cabins on select A380 services.
Qantas Airways reported a net loss of $2.84 billion in the full 2014 financial year.
