Aussies craving local choices to support economy

As the nation gets back to work after the Australia Day long weekend Westpac Banking Corporation (ASX:WBC) has revealed Aussies are craving more choices to buy local. 
 
The bank reports 68 per cent of Australians wish there was more opportunity to buy locally made products and produce in their area. 
 
Westpac’s Australia Day Report has found almost half of Australians believe making local purchases is the most important thing that can be done to strengthen the economy. 
 
The findings shows 9 in 10 Aussies feel loyal to at least one small business in their community and spend about $237 per month on locally made products.  
 
Westpac Banking Corporation reported a net profit of $7.62 billion in the 2014 financial year.
