BHP donates to SA bushfire relief

BHP Billiton (ASX:BHP) has donated a quarter of a million dollars from its community charity fund to the Sampson Flat Bushfire relief fund in South Australia.
 
The cash will go straight to the State Emergency Relief Fund with the fund confirming 100 per cent of all donations will go straight to people re-establishing their lives after the devastating blazes.  
 
BHP Billiton will also donate two dollars for every dollar donated by BHP employees as part of their Matched Giving Program. 
 
BHP Billiton reported a net profit of $16 billion in the 2014 financial year.
