Skilled new chief to consider merger proposal

Skilled Group Limited’s (ASX:SKE) new chief Angus McKay has taken the reins as Managing Director and CEO, replacing Mick McMahon.  

The staffing services company selected Mr McKay last month who comes from national rail freight and ports operator Asciano Limited (ASX:AIO)

Only last week Skilled Group revealed it is mulling a merger proposal from Programmed Maintenance Services Limited (ASX:PRG)

Mr McKay’s start date was brought forward by about a fortnight to participate in reviewing what Skilled Group describes as an 'opportunistic' offer. 

Skilled Group reported a net profit of $44.2 million in the 2014 financial year.
