Company News

Woolworths Limited (ASX:WOW) hardware chain Masters is extending its reach across Australia through launching more stores and now has 51 stores across the country.

The retailing giant opened two new stores on Boxing Day in South Australia and Queensland, which it says collectively created 200 jobs.

Woolies opened its first Masters first store in metropolitan Adelaide, which is only the second in the state, and its 14th Masters store in Queensland in Richlands.

Earlier this month Woolworths announced it will be expanding in Western Sydney through constructing four new stores in Penrith, Marsden Park, Northmead and Rouse Hill.

Woolworths reported a net profit of $2.45 billion in the full 2014 financial year.
