Australia’s largest telco Telstra Corporation Limited
(ASX:TLS) has made an equity investment in Elemental and is negotiating a commercial agreement with the group.
Elemental is described as a supplier of software-defined video (SDV) solutions for multiscreen content delivery.
The group helps media companies connect consumers with video content across multiple screens using software-defined video solutions.
Telstra hopes to use Elemental internally as well as making Elemental cloud capability available to its media customers globally.
Telstra Corporation reported a net profit of $4.34 billion in the 2014 financial year.
