Austal Limited
(ASX:ASB) has won a $14.4 million contract modification for class services in support of the Littoral Combat Ship program.
The ship builder is poised to provide engineering and design services and affordability efforts to lower the acquisition and lifecycle costs.
Work will be conducted in America and is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
Austal has also advised it is set to be awarded a basic ordering agreement in support of the US Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship program.
Austal reported a net profit of $31.9 million in the 2014 financial year.
