Phoslock Water Solutions (ASX:PHK) WA Lakes Application

Western Australian Lakes Project

Key Points:
? Fifty ton Phoslock contract awarded
Tenth WA project in the last 4 years

Phoslock Water Solutions (PWS) has been awarded a contract to apply Phoslock to two lakes on the perimeter of Perth, Western Australia. The project, which is currently being undertaken, involves the application of nearly 50 tons of Phoslock to the lakes.

The lakes continually experience water quality problems caused by the effects of elevated nutrient levels.

Phoslock Water Solutions Managing Director, Robert Schuitema said the purpose of the Phoslock application to the lakes is to remove bio-available phosphorus from the water in the lakes as well as provide a suitable "reactive" capping layer of Phoslock to the sediments to address present and future releases of phosphorus.

This project is the tenth lake and river project undertaken by PWS in Western Australia over the last 4 years. It is another indication of the strengthening pipeline for Phoslock applications across PWS' target markets both in Australia and abroad.
