Range River Gold Ltd (ASX: RNG) Appointment of New CEO

Range River Gold Limited Appointment of New CEO
The Board of Range River Gold Limited (RNG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Paul Bibby as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company.
Paul Bibby was previously CEO of OceanaGold and prior to that was London-based Chief Development Officer of Nyrstar. Paul is a metallurgist with broad experience gained initially in operating and development roles across Rio Tinto and then at Zinifex. Mr. Bibby is well placed to complete the transition from mine development and build the production performance of the company while also refocussing effort on exploration targets.
Mr Bibby replaces Rick Watsford, whose resignations from the Board and the roles of Managing Director and CEO of the Company are effective from today. Appointed to Managing Director and CEO in October 2007, Mr Watsford’s leadership has seen Range River Gold re-emerge as a gold producer and explorer.
The purchase of the Mt Morgans tenements in WA from Barrick in 2009, led to the Company re-establishing itself as a gold producer with opportunities for further growth. In addition to the development into production of Mt Morgans, new deposits have been discovered and mined, existing deposits extended and the Company’s published reserves and resources at Mt Morgans increased significantly.
Mr Watsford has guided the Company through the development and production phase of open pit mining and more recently the transition to underground mining at Mt Morgans. Mr Bibby said that RNG is now well placed to secure long term production from underground mining and is looking forward to growing the Company’s asset base through cost effective production and exploration success.
Mr Watsford stated he would like to acknowledge that he has been greatly assisted by the dedication, expertise and enthusiasm of RNG’s employees and contractors.
Mr Watsford will assist in the transition of leadership under a consultancy agreement.
The Board acknowledges Mr Watsford’s achievements with appreciation and welcomes Mr Bibby to the Company.
