AED Oil Limited (ASX Code: AED) Redemption And Cancellation of Unsecured Convertible Notes

Redemption And Cancellation of 9% Unsecured Convertible Notes Due 2012 Listed on SGX-ST
Further to the quarterly activities report issued to the market on 29 April 2011, AED Oil Limited (ASX Code: AED) hereby announces that the holders of its remaining $21,217,500 9% convertible unsecured notes listed on SGX-ST (Convertible Notes) have exercised their option to require AED to redeem those notes on 30 April 2011, in accordance with the terms of the Convertible Notes.
Convertible Notes with a principal value of US$12,112,500 have been redeemed for cash and cancelled, effective today. The redemption of the remaining Convertible Notes removes the last short term financing liability for AED. AED will now apply to have the Convertible Notes delisted.
