Matsa Resources (ASX: MAT) has reported a new gold intercept of 9.19g/t gold over 22.4 metres at its Fortitude North project within the Lake Carey Gold Project. The result comes from a single diamond drill hole (24FNDD010) and includes a high-grade section of 12.98g/t gold over 7.20 metres.

The intercept is the highest-grade result received to date and supports the trend of increasing grades at depth and to the north. It confirms the presence of a second lode structure approximately 120 metres below the mineralisation identified in the 2023 drilling program.

The result surpasses previous drilling outcomes from 2023, which included multiple thick, high-grade gold intercepts. Matsa plans additional drilling at Fortitude North, with designs subject to a review of the seismic model incorporating this latest data.
