IAG (ASX:IAG) held talks regarding IAG’s 26 per cent interest in Indian insurer SBI General Insurance Company.

They say as advised at its 1H19 results back in February, IAG continues to assess options for its joint venture interests in Asia, including its interest in SBIG.

The speculation appeared in the Indian Economic Times.

They say there is no certainty that a transaction will occur.

Should an agreed sale be reached, IAG will keep the market informed in accordance with its continuous disclosure obligations.

Shares in IAG (ASX:IAG) are trading 0.73 per cent higher at $8.24.
