AuStar Gold clarifies it has no connection to the Good Friday Mine

Gold mining company AuStar Gold (ASX:AUL) released a statement yesterday in response to media reports of the closure of the Good Friday mine stating it has no connection to its owners or operators.

The mine in New South Wales was the subject of a report by the NSW Resource Regulator released on the 4th February.

Problems identified at the Good Friday Gold Mine included failure to comply with mining operations plan, failure to report environmental incidents and failure to appoint a technically competent person.

Shares in AuStar Gold (ASX:AUL) closed flat at $0.004 yesterday.
