Ausenco Limited
(ASX:AAX) has secured a $66 million operations contract renewal at the Isaac Plains Coal mine in central Queensland.
The contract will see Ausenco continue to provide operation and maintenance services to the coal handling and preparation plant at the facility until December 2016.
Ausenco has been in charge of the operations and maintenance at the plant for five incident free years.
CEO Zimi Meka says the contract reflects the company’s high levels of service, safety record and continual improvement initiatives which enabled the plant to exceed its capacity.
Mr Meka also believes the contract provides an important source of recurring revenue to grow Ausenco’s asset optimisation and management services.
Ausenco recorded a net profit of $20.3 million for the 2012 financial year.
