Sonic Healthcare (ASX:SHL) has announced the acquisition of Pathologie Trier, one of the largest anatomical pathology practices in Germany.
Pathologie Trier has annual revenue of 20 million Euros and employs 160 staff.
The group operates four laboratories in West German cities with two laboratories strategically located within large hospital facilities.
The acquisition price was funded in Euro from Sonic’s existing debt facilities, while 25 per cent of the total prurchase price is subject to a 3 year revenue based earnout provision.
Sonic CEO Collin Goldschmidt says Pathologie Trier’s reputation and expertise will add value to Sonic’s anatomical pathology services.
Shares in Sonic Healthcare (ASX:SHL) up 0.04 per cent to $24.60.
