Lucapa Diamond Company recovers +100 carat diamond

Lucapa Diamond Company (ASX:LOM) has announced it has recovered an 129.58 carat diamond from the Lulo Diamond Project in Angola.

The gem is the eighth 100 plus carat diamond recovered to date at the site, and points to the continued potential at the mine.

The Lulo Diamond Project is also known in gem circles for the 404 carat 4th of February Stone.

A 163 carat flawless gem was produced from the February Stone, which has been described by auctioneer Christie’s as the largest D-colour flawless cut diamond ever put up for auction.

Shares in Lucapa Diamond Company (ASX:LOM) last traded 1.89 per cent higher at $0.27.
