APN Outdoor Group appoints James Warburton as CEO

Outdoor advertising company, APN Outdoor Group (ASX:APO) has appointed James Warburton as its new CEO, with his hire coming into effect on 22 January 2018.

James Warburton has 16 years of CEO experience with V8 Supercars, Ten Network Holdings (ASX:TEN), and Universal McCann. He was also director of Ten’s out-of-home media business, Eye Corp.

He was most recently CEO and MD of V8 Supercars for four years, where he grew revenues by 40 per cent and EBIT by 140 per cent.

James also has over 20 years of marketing, leadership and sales experience at Seven Network, Yahoo! And Pacific Magazines.

APN Outdoor’s interim CEO, Wayne Castle will revert back to his previous role as CFO once the new CEO takes the helm.

Shares in APN Outdoor Group (ASX:APO) are trading over 1 per cent lower to $4.53.
