Bki Investment Company Ltd
(ASX:BKI) says its growth opportunities in Asia have been maintained throughout the last financial year, though short term headwinds continue to impact the company.
The equities investor has flagged rising interest rates, weaker corporate borrowing, housing affordability, higher energy prices and a rising food cost as among some of the issues concerning Bki, though it says it is well positioned for both income and capital growth over the coming years.
In its 2010 fiscal results, CEO Tom Millner said reduced company distributions over the last 18 months had an impact on earnings generated by investment companies.
However, Bki has advised it is confident that distributions should continue to improve in the 2011 and 2012 financial years.
Bki Investment Company reported an increase in net profit to $31.15 million in the year to 30 June 2010.
