Catapult Group signs deal with Aus Rugby Union

Catapult Group International Limited (ASX:CAT) has signed a four year deal with the Australian Rugby Union.
Under the agreement, the sports analytics company will be the sole provider of athlete tracking and analytics solutions to elite Australian Rugby teams for the next four years.
The deal also incorporates fan engagement and broadcast capabilities via Catapult’s proprietary OpenField and ClearSky solutions.
Catapult chief executive Shaun Holthouse said embarking on the deal marked the start of a new era for how wearable tracking solutions are utilised, benefitting both athletes and fans.
Catapult Group posted a net loss of $4.31 million at 30 June 2015.
