Virgin Australia Holdings Limited
(ASX:VAH) says it welcomes the ACCC draft determination that its alliance with Etihad Airways can continue for another five years.
The tie-up competes with the dominant Qantas-Emirates alliance on routes between Australia, the Middle East and Europe.
Currently, the deal allows for a Virgin code share across 89 destinations with loyalty program benefits.
The ACCC will make a final determination after opening its draft to public comment.
Virgin reported a net profit of $93.8 million for the 2015 financial year.
