Aus Tin Mining is an Australian-based exploration and tin production company focused on the development of the Taronga Tin Project and discovery and development of tin and nickel-cobalt mineral deposits. Aus Tin commenced tin concentrate production at the Granville Project in August, 2016. Aus Tin owns 100% of the world class Taronga Tin Project located in the historic New England tin fields in northern NSW. In April 2014, Aus Tin completed a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) confirming the technical and economic viability of the Taronga Tin Project, and highlighting a number of areas of project upside. The Company also holds a portfolio of exploration tenement adjacent to the Taronga Tin Project which are prospective for tin, base and precious metals.
The Company also maintains an active exploration program.
The Company holds a portfolio of exploration licenses prospective for nickel, cobalt and copper (Kilkivan QLD); and tin, copper, silver, tungsten and lithium (Torrington NSW) and nickel (TAS).
Mt Cobalt is situated within EPM 19366 (100% held by Aus Tin Mining) and was historically the centre of mining for high grade, cobalt-manganese rich mineral asbolite. Recent drilling at Mt Cobalt has extended the zone of nickel oxide mineralisation at Mt Cobalt, reinforcing previous work highlighting the potential for a large scale nickel oxide deposit as well as delivering high grade (including an interval of 7m @ 0.84% Co & 0.83%Ni or 1.13%Coeq1 from 29m), wide and shallow cobalt intersections.
