Central Petroleum Limited
(ASX:CTP) (“Central”), as Operator provides the following update for the coal stratigraphic drilling programme.
Central, as operator of mineral tenement EL 28095, wishes to advise that there will be a delay of up to 6 weeks in further anticipated drilling in its current 4 well coal stratigraphic programme.
Heavy monsoon derived rain up to 400mm is forecast over the area by next Thursday 10 February.
The hiatus will be used to calibrate existing seismic with the new data gained from the first three wells in the programme and to remap the area generally. A change in the location or locations of further holes may be necessary. The drilling rig is contracted to return to drilling on request by the Company within 4-6 weeks of the 1st February.
