Aurora Oil & Gas Limited
(ASX:AUT) (“Aurora”) advises that Mr. Michael Blakiston has resigned from his position as non-executive director of the Company effective 17 November 2010.
Due to the time constraints of his other business interests, Mr Blakiston does not believe that he will be able to effectively serve the increasing demands of the Aurora Board going forward.
The Board would like to express its considerable appreciation to Mr Blakiston for his valuable input and efforts during his tenure as a director and wish him well for the future.
Aurora is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Alan Watson as an independent, non-executive director effective 17 November 2010.
Mr Watson is a London based Investment Banker with 30 years experience within various global equity markets. Over this period he has established, directed and been responsible for the conduct of securities businesses in both Europe and Asia, working for Barclays de Zoete Wedd, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Lehman Brothers, and most latterly, for Macquarie Group.
Throughout this time, Mr Watson has advised many companies on capital structuring, initial public offerings, takeovers and mergers, investment relations strategies and regulatory obligations.
Mr Watson is also an Independent Director of the Toronto listed industrial manufacturing company AirBoss of America Limited.
