AED to commence well test on Lempuyang-1 and Lukut-1 
 
AED is pleased to announce that the Brunei Block L Joint Venture will shortly commence a well test programme on Lempuyang-1 and Lukut-1 wells, following numerous hydrocarbon findings which was mostly gas and along with high pressure gas kicks during recent exploration drilling.
 
The Block L Joint Venture has undertaken a thorough process and examination of the alternative testing methods and the selection criteria for available rig, testing equipment and operators to derive the optimal program and timing for the testing of the Lempuyang-1 and Lukut-1 wells.
 
Testing of the Lempuyang-1 well is expected to commence in early January 2011and will be followed by the testing of the Lukut-1 well. The testing is designed to test multiple multi-stacked reservoirs, of three main intervals in the Lukut-1 well with an aggregate gross thickness of 115m, and two main intervals in the Lempuyang-1 well with an aggregate gross thickness of 56.4m. It may take approximately 14 days for each test interval. Key components for testing including the rig and the test equipment have been secured. AED will update the market regularly on the progress of the testing.
 
The Block L Joint Venture consists of AED (50% and Operator), Kulczyk Oil Ventures (40%) and QAF Brunei Sdn Bhd (10%).
