Perpetual Ltd (ASX:PPT) reaffirms H1 2010 earnings guidance

Fund manager Perpetual Ltd (ASX:PPT) has reaffirmed its earnings guidance for the first half of fiscal 2010.

The company says it expects to report net profit after tax of between $40 million to $50 million for the first six months of the fiscal year.

Underlying net profit is forecast to come in between $30 million and $40 million, if financial market conditions continue to improve.

Perpetual also says it expects to pay shareholders a first half dividend of 60 cents a share.

The company says client investor confidence is improving and it will continue to invest in its sales capability and service offering.

Perpetual’s profits have decreased in the last couple of years since reaching a high of $182.1 million in 2007.
