Leighton Holdings Limited (ASX:LEI) has announced the Airportlink M7 in Brisbane has officially opened to traffic.
The road tunnel which is now Australia’s longest, employed 34,000 workers and took four years to construct.
The road was scheduled to open in late June. The construction company says it has delivered the project within a few days of its contractual completion date.
In the first half of the 2012 financial year, Leighton reported a net profit $345 million.
