Skywest Airlines Limited (ASX:SXR) has reported a decline in passenger numbers and charter services.

June figures reveal passengers carried fell to 31,000 from 35,000 the year before.

Charter services decreased by 8.15 per cent compared to the previous year.

The Australian and South East Asia regional airline received an $8 million investment from codeshare partner Virgin Australia Holdings Limited (ASX:VAH) earlier this year .
 
Skywest generated a net profit of $3.4 million in the first half of its 2012 financial year.
