Toro Energy Limited (ASX:TOE) (“the Company” or “Toro”) welcomes the McGowan Western Australian State Government’s confirmation that it will not prevent Toro’s development of the Wiluna Uranium Project.
The Western Australian Minister for Mines and Petroleum the Hon Bill Johnston MLA advised State Parliament yesterday of its policy on uranium mining in Western Australia.
The Wiluna Uranium Project received State Ministerial approval on 9 January 2017 (Ministerial Statement 1051). As advised in an ASX announcement of 9 January 2017 Toro is working towards meeting the implementation conditions outlined in Ministerial Statement 1051.
