Gasification Testwork - Positive Results

Liberty Resources Limited (ASX:LBY) is pleased to announce that it has received positive results from the preliminary testing of coal samples by HRL Technology. Samples provided from Liberty’s Denison and Galilee Projects were analysed by HRL Technology, a leading coal technology and gasification specialist based in Melbourne, Australia.
The initial results of the testwork programme indicate that the key gasification reactivity parameters of the Denison and Galilee basin coal samples are comparable to those for other higher rank coals. As such, the reactivity of the coal samples should be suitable for a high temperature gas application such as a UCG application.
Liberty Resources contracted HRL Technology to undertake a preliminary laboratory evaluation of the suitability of several coal samples from the Denison and Galilee tenements for UCG application. The evaluation included chemical analysis and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) / Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) testing to investigate the relative gasification reactivity of these Denison and Galilee coal samples submitted.
Liberty Resources’ Managing Director/Chairman, Andrew Haythorpe said the results were highly encouraging and support the Company’s scoping study and project production and cash flow models.
