Kingsgate Consolidated Limited (Kingsgate) is a low cost gold producer and a highly successful gold mining and exploration company, traded on the Australian Stock Exchange (KCN: ASX). The company owns and operates the Chatree gold mine in central Thailand through its Thai subsidiary, Akara Mining Limited, using world's best practice for safe, environmental and socially responsible operations.

A growing reserve/resource position within granted mining leases lies in a gold province which exhibits world class potential, with recent near mine gold discoveries.

Kingsgate was officially listed on the ASX in April 1988.

The company's strategic advantage is its specialist knowledge of the geological, political and business culture of South East Asia developed over the 15 years of operating there. Exploration in Thailand led to the greenfields discovery of the Chatree gold deposit in 1995 and development in 2000-01.

Gold mineralisation occurs at Chatree as low sulphidation quartz carbonate epithermal veins, breccias and stockworks, within a 7.5 by 2.5 kilometre zone of silicified volcanics and related sediments. New gold discoveries have been made within the exploration properties surrounding Chatree.

The deposit is located 280 kilometres north of Bangkok in open farmland adjacent to bitumen roads and serviced by the national power grid and is accessed from Bangkok and its port by freeways and highway quality roads.
