Coarse tungsten mineralisation at Mt Mulgine (HAZ 70% GBG30%)

- A confirmatory drilling program has been completed at the Mt Mulgine Tungsten Project (HAZ 70%;GBG 30%). All holes have intersected coarse scheelite mineralisation that is expected to be amenable to processing via conventional gravity methods.

- Five diamond core holes were drilled by Hazelwood as a test of the recently released JORC Mineral Resource estimate for the Mulgine Hill Deposit. The Mulgine Hill Deposit had previously been tested by 213 core holes on a spacing of approximately 40m x 40m.

- Cores from the current program are being submitted for assay with results expected mid-May.

- Historical testwork results for the Mulgine Hill Deposit have been reviewed and suggest a processing circuit recovery of 72.5% to a final concentrate grade of approximately 66% WO3 via a combined gravity and flotation route. Dedicated metallurgical core holes and several shafts had previously been sunk into the Mt Mulgine Project, sampling hundreds of tonnes of material.

- Hazelwood’s staff process engineers consider the scheelite mineralisation at Mt Mulgine should be recoverable via conventional gravity processing. Mineral liberation analysis testwork is planned to test the processing flowsheets in historical reports.

“Mulgine Hill has shown some interesting characteristics, similar to the coarse style of mineralisation at our 100% owned Big Hill Tungsten Deposit. We demonstrated that we could process the ore at Big Hill using economical gravity methods. This next round of evaluation at Mt Mulgine will be revealing” commented Hazelwood Managing Director Terry Butler-Blaxell.
