APPOINTMENT OF NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

(ASX:ETE) (“Entek” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
Trent Spry as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.
Mr. Spry commenced with the Company in December 2008 as General Manager and has been
involved in the Company’s successful increase in production and reserves, both onshore and
offshore since his appointment.
Mr. Spry has bought to the Company 20 years of global experience in the oil and gas industry. He has enjoyed successful careers with BHP Petroleum, Woodside Energy and RPS Energy and has
consulted for international and national energy companies globally. He has an excellent track
record of finding oil and gas and identifying quality prospects and hydrocarbon plays. He has vast experience in Gulf of Mexico exploration and new ventures and global onshore experience,
including characterisation of super-charged petroleum systems such as those in Entek’s Green
River Basin portfolio.
Mr. Spry assumes the position of Chief Executive Officer from Mr. Russell Brimage, who has held
the position since 2005. Mr. Brimage will remain on the Board in the position of Executive
Director of Operations. The appointment of Mr. Spry as CEO and Managing Director is the
culmination of a succession plan put in place by Mr. Brimage, in conjunction with the Board, and is a testament to their close working relationship.
The management changes will have immediate effect.

the experience and talents of Russell Brimage as Executive Director of Operations. The Board

has made to the Company over the past five years. During that period he has taken the Company
from a very difficult financial position to a successful oil and gas producer in Australia, the Gulf of Mexico and onshore USA, with bright prospects for an exciting future”.
