Commissioners Gold Ltd has been granted a portfolio of tenements for gold and base metals exploration, in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales, Australia. These tenements have been selected to provide immediate drill targets and early opportunities to develop modern economic gold mining.

All of the projects are in and around historical gold mining fields and Mongarlowe has significant historic production from associated alluvial gold workings. These gold fields are under-explored by any yardstick, particularly when compared to the historical gold mining fields of Western Australia, with some having had little attention since their initial discovery.

SUMMARY

Australian gold company Commissioners Gold Limited (ASX:CGU) had an exciting quarter at its Cowarra Project in the eastern Lachlan Fold Belt of NSW. The Company reported excellent intercepts across all four diamond drill holes, with assays up to 11.95 g/t gold. Ongoing exploration expenditure on this old BHP Gold Mine is clearly warranted.

The March quarter looks like being another significant one for Commissioners, with an 11 hole RC drill program about to commence at its 100% owned Dalton Project near Gunning in NSW.

Rigs will continue drilling both the Cowarra and Dalton targets during 2012.
