Enterprises worldwide have digitised their transactions and operations, creating enormous data streams that have far outpaced their ability to analyse and optimise their use of the data. Arria’s NLG technology sets out to help these companies tame Big Data.
In May 2012 Arria NLG acquired a minority interest in Big Data software company Data2Text Limited, a spin-out from the Computer Science Department of the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Data2Text Limited has developed and begun to commercialise software that uses Natural Language Generation (“NLG”), a subfield of artificial intelligence, to analyse various forms of Big Data and produce natural language reports facilitating the monitoring and control of operations within large enterprises.
