The Antares Small Companies Fund delivered a return of 4.9% (net of fees) for the month of September, outperforming its benchmark index by 3.4%.
Small capitalisation stocks performed relatively well in September, with the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index ending up 1.5% and outperforming the broader market by 1%. The strength was dominated by small resource stocks (+4.9%) whilst small industrials (-0.3%) were virtually flat.
