Fund commentary
The Antares Small Companies Fund delivered a return of -6.5% (net of fees) for the
month of October, underperforming its benchmark index by 1.8%.1
Small capitalisation stocks weakened in October, with the S&P/ASX 200 Small Ordinaries Accumulation Index falling 4.9%. Investors were generally concerned about the likely outcome of the US Presidential election and defensive and interest rate sensitive stocks continued to underperform in response to higher domestic bond yields.
