Fund commentary
The Antares Small Companies Fund delivered a return of 3.8% (net of fees) for the month of December, underperforming its benchmark index by 0.1%.
The small cap sector of the Australian sharemarket performed relatively well in December with the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index rising 3.9% and outperforming the broader sharemarket. Small industrial stocks rose 3.4%, whilst small resource stocks rose a solid 4.5%.
